James Clarke is a contemporary British composer. He has recently decided not to give his pieces titles which might influence the listener. Untitled no. 3 is a quiet piece for solo piano that explores the repetition of a chord with slight variations; this could be seen as a form of minimalism, and this piece also reminds me of the music of Morton Feldman. It is played by Nicolas Hodges, a leading exponent of contemporary piano music, in a London venue called The Warehouse.
